Peggy Thompson
Art and music are very important to Peggy. From the time Peggy was able to hold a pencil, she has been drawing and painting with oil paints and water colors. Discovering that she was creative, Peggy naturally was attracted to photography. Starting with film cameras and graduating to digital photography, Peggy realized that a camera was the perfect addition to carry with her wherever she would go. And as you can see from the pictures featured in The Cooks of the Buffalo, Peggy can capture through the camera lense what most of us will never see.
Husband Wayne and Peggy raised two boys in the Ozark Mountains, with a treasure of memories along the Buffalo, canoeing, hiking, camping and horseback riding. Their sons, Wade and Clay now have children of their own and share in the tradition of the Buffalo River.

Dan Reynolds
Dan Reynolds
Dan Reynolds comes from a family deeply rooted in the hills of Arkansas. His great-grandfather homesteaded along the Buffalo River in Yardell in the 1800s before the family was relocated when the Buffalo River became a national river. Today, Dan owns and operates two television stations in Harrison and Mountain Home, Arkansas, alongside his two sons. Together, they also own and provide wireless internet service to the northwest Arkansas region. Dan serves as a local talk show host, airing Monday through Friday on K26 Hometown Television and on KHOZ AM 900 and 94.9 FM radio. Dan enjoys spending most of his time with his wife, Kelly, on their 15 acres with their two dogs, two cats, and two horse, embracing the quiet of rural life. Whether traveling to new places, camping, or spending time with family, Dan values the connections and community that have been a thread through his life’s journey.
